Further to the special measure of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic issued with a view to protecting public health and preventing the risk of rise and spread of the COVID-19 disease caused by the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, it is mandatory to use respirators or similar protective items with effect from 25 February 2021:
a) In all interior areas of AMU (including the Faculties and service/function worksites)
b) In exterior areas of AMU where at least two persons are present and are positioned less than two metres apart.
The above measures do not apply to:
a) pupils, students and educational staff under the Education Act and students and academic workers under Act No. 111/1998 on tertiary education and on the amendment of other acts (the “University Act”), as amended, who are involved in an educational activity whose nature does not allow for wearing protective items (including but not limited to physical education, playing woodwind/brass instruments, etc.)
b) accommodated children, pupils or students when present in their rooms (i.e., away from common areas) in dormitories – for AMU, this applies to the Hradební Dormitory
c) persons who are performing an author’s work of art (e.g., a theatre, dance or music performance), persons presenting texts and persons acting in the creation and production of an audiovisual work or programme.
