Based on the statement of the Government of the Czech Republic from 23 December 2020 concerning the PES anti-epidemic system in connection with the measures that are imposed to help slow the spread of the coronavirus infection and also in accordance with the PES HAMU system, the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague will be closed for teaching effective from Monday, 4 January 2021 at least until 10 January 2021, inclusive.
Students will not be permitted access to the faculty - there will be no individual consultations of students and teachers and students will not be allowed to prepare for these consultations in the faculty spaces.
All teaching will takes place solely remotely (online). Teachers may use the faculty’s technical facilities for these lessons.
Access for HAMU and AMU employees (teachers and administrative staff) will only be possible through the gate at the Liechtenstein Palace, which will be open for employees from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
The Hartig Palace gate will be closed at all times.
No concerts or other artistic events will be held at HAMU.
On-site administration will be restricted to the most urgent support. Work from home will be preferred throughout the entire week. Only employees providing essential operations will be present at the workplace for the necessary period.
The required consultation between teachers and the administrative staff will take place by telephone and electronically through email.
Any necessary negotiations and meetings will only take place online.
