The programme?s objective is to deepen the knowledge acquired at the Bachelor?s level in historical and systematic dance theory, how it is used in independent research and its application in dance criticism, popularisation, organisational activity, etc. The student acquires an overview of the methodologies of dance research, their use in independent research and how to present such research in a high-quality manner at the international level. Through participation in interdisciplinary projects, the student is also introduced to the issues of dance production and management.
A graduate of the continuing Master?s programme in the field of Dance Theory is able to perform further independent research in the area of historical or systematic dance theory and to present it in a high-quality manner at the international level. He or she can apply these skills in further academic or research activity, as well as in practical work at institutions of associated fields as an assistant, dramaturge, producer or manager. Graduates also often apply their skills in current affairs commentary and in edifying activities.
